The newest contribution to the Minnesota music catalog, Jellyjacket, brings together musicians from a number of iconic local bands. Songwriter and lead singer Patrick Schmid (Mile One) has teamed up with fellow Mile One alumni Paul Hermes (guitars, bass) and Andy Pavelka (guitars). The band’s founding lineup also includes keyboardist Bob Burns (Flamin’ Oh’s, Supraluxe) who engineered and produced Jellyjacket at his St. Paul based RGB Studio. Rounding out the group is Ben Kaplan (Flamin’ Oh’s) and Rich Pearson (Playhouse, Box of Rocks, 3 Below, Supraluxe). The self-titled debut release dropped on Record Store Day, April 20th, 2024 and features 13 songs that evoke strong 1970’s influences wrapped around Scmid’s notable lyric and vocal stylings.  The album also features percussion by Noah Levy (The Honeydogs, Golden Smog, Brian Setzer Orchestra, etc.) and Isaac Levy (Michelle and Todd Rundgren, Julia Cole, Yam Haus) on bass.
